Key Takeaways

  • Canada issued 792 invitations in its October 26, 2026, Express Entry draw for Provincial Nominee Program candidates.
  • The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 761 points.
  • The previous PNP-specific draw on October 13 issued 752 invitations with a CRS cut-off of 772.

792 invitations, cut-off at 761

Canada held Express Entry draw #451 on October 26, 2026, inviting 792 candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to apply for permanent residence. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 761, and the tie-breaking rule used April 3, 2026, at 18:00:26 UTC — candidates at exactly 761 needed to have submitted their profile before that time.

It is the largest PNP-specific round since June 22, 2026, a sign Ottawa is leaning on provincial picks to fill targeted labour needs.

The bar is quietly dropping

The previous PNP draw, held October 13, invited 752 candidates with a cut-off of 772. In two weeks, the cut-off has fallen 11 points while the number of invitations rose by 40. Candidates who were close but not quite there in mid-October may now be inside the line.

PNP candidates carry a built-in advantage: a provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points, which is why the cut-offs in these rounds sit far above general draws.

A crowded pool below the line

As of October 25, the Express Entry pool held 228,724 candidate profiles. Only 787 of them scored between 601 and 1,200 points — the band from which PNP invitations are effectively drawn — while tens of thousands sit between 401 and 500 points waiting for category-based or general rounds.

Across all program types, IRCC has now issued 144,259 invitations to apply in 2026 through 63 rounds.

The Twikup Take

Provincial nomination remains the surest shortcut through Express Entry — but with fewer than 800 people in the top scoring band, the real competition is getting a province to pick you first.
