James Webb Telescope Reveals Mysterious ‘Black Hole Star’ in Early Universe
Astronomers using the James Webb Space Telescope have uncovered evidence for an extraordinary cosmic object known as a “black hole star.” The newly studied MoM-BH*-1 may contain a rapidly growing black hole surrounded by dense hydrogen-rich gas, offering scientists a potential explanation for Webb’s mysterious little red dots and clues about how massive black holes formed surprisingly early in cosmic history.
