Down 13 After Three Quarters, Toronto Scored 47 in the Fourth
For three quarters at Intuit Dome on Monday night, this game belonged to the LA Clippers. Then the fourth quarter started — and the Toronto Raptors scored 47 points in 12 minutes to win 125-118.
Toronto trailed 91-78 entering the fourth after quarters of 22, 30 and 26 points against LA's 33, 30 and 28. The comeback flipped the script completely: the Raptors outscored the Clippers 47-27 in the final quarter to complete the turnaround in Inglewood.
Barnes Took Over Late
Scottie Barnes finished with 22 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists — and saved his best for last. Fifteen of his 22 points came in the fourth quarter alone, including a turnaround jumper with 2:08 remaining as Toronto closed the game out.
He had help. Immanuel Quickley led Toronto with 27 points, adding 4 rebounds and 2 assists, while RJ Barrett scored 26 points with 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Three Raptors scoring 22 or more was too much for LA to answer in the final minutes.
Clippers Fade to a Sixth Straight Loss
Kobe Sanders scored a career-high 26 points for the Clippers, Andre Jackson Jr. added 19 points and 8 rebounds, and Darius Garland had 16 points and 8 assists. It still was not enough.
The loss drops the Clippers to 1-6 — their sixth straight defeat. Toronto improves to 4-3 with a win built on one dominant quarter.
The Twikup Take
A 47-point fourth quarter can erase almost anything — even a 13-point hole on the road. The question for Toronto now is why it needed one.
