A Major Project Takes Shape in Alberta
The construction milestone comes as Canada looks for ways to reduce industrial emissions while maintaining major energy and manufacturing activities.
Natural Resources Canada says carbon capture and storage has been used in Canada since the 1950s. Alberta and Saskatchewan have developed significant expertise in the technology, supported by Canada's geological capacity for storing carbon dioxide.
