Police Believe There Are More Victims

Peel Regional Police are asking additional victims to come forward after a Brampton man was convicted of human trafficking offences.

Tynniel Tomlinson-Brown, 39, of Brampton, pleaded guilty in October 2026 to several offences committed between April and May 2024: human trafficking, procuring, and receiving a material benefit from human trafficking. Following the guilty plea, he was sentenced to a term of incarceration in a federal correctional institution.

Multiple victims were identified during the investigation by Peel's Vice and Human Trafficking Unit. Investigators believe there may be other victims who have not yet come forward, and the service released his photo so those individuals can recognize him and contact police.

Anyone with information — or who believes they were victimized — is asked to contact the Vice and Human Trafficking Unit at 905-453-2121, extension 3555.

The Twikup Take

Post-conviction appeals like this are how trafficking cases grow: one conviction on the record often gives other victims the confidence to speak. Police do not issue these appeals on a hunch — they issue them when the pattern of the offending suggests more people are out there.
